First time seeing The Nutcracker

The Rialto theatre is beautiful! For the first time seeing the performance and considering the small venue, I really enjoyed it. I thought the costumes and set were beautiful, the volume of the music was appropriate, as was the lighting. For the cost of the tickets, I feel like this is a good way to experience a classic ballet for the first time, for grown ups and kids alike. There are other, more $$ performances in the Chicago area that feature a live orchestra and bigger production but I think this is perfect for the first timer or family event that won't break the bank.
